Before submitting an on-line reservation we ask you to agree to the following:

 

Castaways RV Resort & Campground is a privately owned camping facility.  The camper accepts camping privileges with the understanding that he does hereby release the Campground, its officers and employees of all liability for loss or damage to property and injury to his person arising out of his/her use of its camping facilities, and agrees to indemnify the Campground, its officers and employees against claims resulting from loss or damage to property or injury to the person of any member of the family or guest of the registered camper arising out of the use of its camping facilities.

 

A reservation is not guaranteed until a deposit has been received.  A reservation guarantees the camper a site but not necessarily a specific site, although every effort will be made to provide the camper with the site requested.

 

Payment of the balance can be made at any time prior to arrival and the balance must be paid in full prior to taking occupancy of the site.  Payment can be made by Mastercard or Visa by phone or in person; by check if received by Castaways at least 30 days in advance of the reservation but not by check at check-in; or by money order, travelers check or cash at check-in.  A $25 service fee will be charged for all returned checks.

 

A reservation can be cancelled up to 7 days before the arrival date.  A processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.   Cancellations made in less than 7 days of the arrival date will be subject to a cancellation fee equal to the amount of your deposit.

 

There will be no refunds unless at the time occupancy is to begin, the site is unfit and uninhabitable and no substitute can be found.  The malfunction of any service does not automatically render the lot unfit and uninhabitable.  Every effort will be made to ensure all services are in working order.  Refunds are not given for inclement weather and/or power outages.

 

We want your stay to be just as you anticipated so we will make every effort to address any “problem”.  If a “problem” occurs during your stay, please report it to the office immediately.  Some repairs require contacting outside independent contractors and their availability may not be as quick as any of us would like.  We cannot be held responsible for those delays.  Other “problems” are because camping is an outdoor experience and cannot be avoided but every effort will be made to minimize them.  “Problems” not reported on a timely basis are not eligible for credit or refund.

 

The site is rented to the camper named in this reservation.  It may not be sub-leased or re-rented to others by the camper.

 

The site fee includes 2 adults, up to 4 children aged 10 and under and one vehicle.  Extra adults, children 11-17, extra vehicles will incur an additional fee.  Local laws limit each site to a maximum of 6 people.  Violation of this requirement will result in eviction and forfeiture of all monies.   Day visitors are welcome from 8AM to 11PM but they must stop at the office to register and must pay applicable fees.  You are responsible for the actions of those staying with or visiting you.  The campground reserves the right to evict any person for detrimental conduct.

 

Check-in time is 2:00PM until midnight on your arrival date.  You will need to provide your vehicle license plate number at check-in.  You may not set up on site between midnight and 8:00AM the next morning so if you are going to arrive after midnight, contact the office for special instructions.  No refunds are given for late arrivals.

 

Check-out time is 11:30AM on your departure date.  Late stays are available in Spring and Fall but highly unlikely from mid-June until Labor Day.  Arrangements may be made with the office for a late stay if available.

 

Quiet time is from 11PM to 8AM.  Any rowdyism, detrimental conduct or obscene language will lead to eviction and forfeiture of all monies.

 

Only one RV is permitted on a site.  A small 2 person tent and/or a portable screen house/gazebo may also be set up on a RV site.  Tent sites are limited to two tents or one tent and a portable screen house/gazebo.   The portable screen house/gazebo may not be used for sleeping quarters on any site.

 

A picnic table and a fire ring are provided to most sites.  You are responsible for your fire.  An adult must be present whenever a fire is burning.  Fires must be extinguished before retiring or leaving the site.  Fires may be prohibited due to weather conditions.

 

Speed limit in the campground is 5mph.  All vehicles, including golf carts, must be operated by appropriately licensed drivers.  All vehicles, including golf carts, motorbikes, boats and personal water craft must be registered at the office and if driven after dark must have working lights.  ATVs and standup scooters are not permitted.

 

Pets are welcome but must be kept leashed and be cleaned up after.  Pets may not be left unattended.  Pets are permitted on the beach only in the designated pet area.  Vicious, exotic, barking and/or whining pets will be asked to leave without refund.  Proof of rabies vaccination must be provided at check-in.

 

All buildings including rental units and both pools are smoke-free and pet-free. 

 

Weapons, firearms, BB guns, pellet guns, sling shots, chains, and fireworks including sparklers are not to be used on campground property.  Cutting or hacking of living trees, shrubs or flowers is not permitted.  Nails must not be driven into trees.  Campers will be subject to immediate eviction without refund for violation of these policies.

 

I, including others in my party, agree not to hold Castaways RV Resort & Campground liable for any and all damages incurred due to fire, theft, accident or any other claim.
